Celebrating Heroic Arizona's First Monthly Meeting!

11/13/2024 11:08 AM | Scott McIntosh (Administrator)

Last night marked an inspiring start for Heroic Arizona’s monthly gatherings, held at MAC6 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., with over 25 enthusiastic participants joining the journey toward personal and community growth. Twenty attendees gathered in person, and six joined virtually to connect, collaborate, and explore Heroic’s vision for Arizona. We are thrilled by the turnout, engagement, and shared commitment to creating a community dedicated to flourishing.

A Meeting of Mission and Vision

The evening began with a warm welcome from the Heroic Arizona team, led by co-founders Scott McIntosh and Stephanie Clerge, who shared their excitement and gratitude with attendees. Together, they introduced Heroic’s mission of helping 51% of the population flourish by 2051. The session dove into the heart of Heroic’s philosophy, emphasizing community building and personal growth through the transformative power of the “Soul Force Equation.” This powerful concept sparked thought-provoking discussions about the importance of energy, focus, and consistency in pursuing one’s best self.

As a highlight, attendees watched a video from the recent Heroic launch event and enjoyed an engaging networking exercise. Members were encouraged to find someone new, introduce themselves, and share a win or a moment of gratitude from the day. This exercise set the tone for connection and openness, laying the foundation for meaningful relationships within the Heroic Arizona community.

Learning from Athens and Planning Ahead

A central discussion focused on the recent Heroic Activation Event in Athens, Greece, which some attendees had the privilege to experience firsthand. Bradley Lewis and Tiffany Mitchell, who are now Heroic-certified Level 2 Workshop Instructors, shared stories from this life-changing event. They spoke of the routines, practices, and supportive network that have helped them achieve personal transformations and deepen their connection to Heroic’s mission. Their experiences served as a vivid reminder of the power of community and the potential Heroic Arizona has to create a similarly transformative environment here.

With enthusiasm high, the group turned its attention to the future of Heroic Arizona, discussing plans to grow the local community and foster an Arizona chapter rooted in shared values and personal growth. Conversations included the benefits of membership, more structured coaching sessions, and a variety of potential activities, from volunteer opportunities to wellness events and social gatherings. Heroic Arizona also introduced several key corporate partners, including Kolbe Corp, MAC6, Eliances, Local First Arizona, Tiger Mountain Foundation and LifeGuides, and discussed the importance of expanding these partnerships to further support the Heroic mission.

Next Steps for Heroic Arizona

Heroic Arizona has exciting plans on the horizon, with clear action steps to bring them to life. Here’s what’s coming up:

  • December Meeting: Scott and Stephanie will plan and schedule the next monthly meeting for December, where Bradley will facilitate a discussion around a Heroic tool.
  • December Garden Event – as a reminder we already have scheduled the MAC6 Community Garden event on 9 December. Come get your hands dirty and enjoy culinary treats prepared by Chef Rodney from Grow Space Kitchen.
  • Strategic Planning Session: In mid-December, Scott and Stephanie will lead a session to outline Heroic Arizona’s 2025 events and engagement opportunities, setting the stage for a productive and inspiring year.
  • Community Connection Initiatives: Stephanie will follow up with members not receiving the newsletter to ensure everyone stays informed. She’ll also look at possibilities for a group trip for members to a scenic Arizona location, such as Sedona or the Grand Canyon, for a deeper bonding experience.
  • YouTube Channel Launch: Stephanie will work on creating a Heroic Arizona YouTube channel to share videos, member testimonials, and event highlights, amplifying the reach of the Heroic community.
  • Spreading the Heroic Message: All members are encouraged to think about ways to introduce Heroic to others and to bring their ideas to future meetings.

Fostering Soul Force and Flourishing

The evening wrapped up with an inspiring talk by Stephanie Clerge on the 'Soul Force Equation.' She encouraged attendees to focus on their energy levels and evaluate their habits around eating, moving, sleeping, and breathing. By setting meaningful targets and committing to consistent progress, everyone was empowered to identify areas for personal growth and commit to changes that would elevate their lives.

Thank You’s: Much gratitude to Trinity Peterson-Meyers who helped organize the event logistics, Al Loveland and Ben Johnson for technology support, and Stephanie Duarte who provided the charcuterie boards for the meeting participants.  And huge thanks for all who attended and shared ideas as together we co-create a future of flourishing.

Looking Ahead

As Heroic Arizona continues to grow, the future holds abundant opportunities for community impact and individual transformation. With an energized start, supportive corporate partnerships, and a thriving membership, Heroic Arizona is well on its way to building a flourishing, connected, and inspired community. We look forward to seeing everyone at our next gathering and are excited for what’s in store for Heroic Arizona!

Stay tuned and be part of this journey toward flourishing in Arizona—together, we can make a difference in our communities and beyond! All in! Let's go heroes!
